Hello,

I have the DM-1702, but when I press the “Menu” button the radio silence a channel, when I press the number 1 it does the number 2, same happens when I press the numer 4 and 7, it returns numers 5 and 8. It looks like the keyboard is mixed or malfunctioning, the radio provider told me it is a software problem and I followed all of this thread, but after a several brick - revive - brick - brick and final revival the radio keeps the same issue.

Have someone had this problem with the DM-1702?, Does anyone know how to fix the keyboard problem?

Hello. In my opinion, the problem is software. At a level that we do not have access to, but only have in the factory. It will not work, even if you change something in the settings. My advice is to return it and take your money. I would urge the seller to return it at his expense or send you a second piece, assuring that it works 100%, again at his expense.
I believe that it is imperative for the Chinese to understand that when they produce something, it should be of basic quality for the price. It is foolish not to test things. The factory would identify the problem and not let it be sold if there is one.

Hello. It matters. It just got interesting to me. Some radios are older or with older firmware and the maximum number of characters allowed is 8. I’ve heard that this can be fixed by updating the firmware or patching. Probably the manufacturer or trader can help you

j’ai un rt72 gps. on m’a mis le firmware v02.02.023. depuis je ne peux plus mettre a jour la liste Id contacts. et je n’ai plus le firmware d’origine du rt72. quelle solution je peux avoir?

I don’t own a Retevis but you might contact the company at [info@retevis.com] and see if they can help. Maybe getting a factory reset codeplug from them and doing a factory reset will help. It probably won’t revert the firmware to an earlier version but it might do something positive.

I have this ■■■■ radio and after the firmware update, it stopped working. It only seems to go into either programming mode or update and I have only black screen. I am not able to redo the firmware update either. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Try an older version of the firmware. It happened to me as follows: CPS MD-1.0.66-extra and installation of v02.02.023. Combinations of CPS and FIRMWARE are possible. Who will work with you is a matter of rehearsals.
I’ve had a case with “MD-1.0.78-healed” that I can’t upgrade to the latest firmware.
