I have two Wouxun KG-Q10G radios and have been trying to use the GPS display to track the location of the radios. I have set up the menu options to send the coordinates at a once per minute rate. So far everything is working as I can see the other radio’s ID and coordinates.
The actual map display is confusing. The big problem is that the map does not seem right. It seems as if the map is inverted from east to west.
The radios are set up as follows:
- Radio is in channel mode
- GPS is on
- GPS Pin icon is solid (not flashing)
- SEND-FREQ is set to once per minute
- GPS-RECEIVE is set to on
- The channel menu’s SEND-LOC function is set to on
The image attached is showing the remote radio northeast of my current position when it is actually supposed to be northwest of my position. Does anybody have any ideas or experience with the GPS function on these radios?
