I have a customer who wants to put up to 200 users on 1 channel.
I’m telling him it will become so busy as the users are not trained , talking over the top of other callers that communication will be impossible.
My question is ; Is there some industry recommendation I can point him to?
Just common sense! In fairness 200 occasional transmitters could work - if people do not have a need to constantly talk. However - when something happens, say an emergency or just something like a power cut, not would fall apart completely unless skilled controllers implement strict discipline.
If somebody is going to buy as a minimum 20 grands worth of radio, but probably double that, then they really need proper radio advice. they’re frankly - stupid!
