To comply with the FCC advisory issued last September, TYT locked their DMR radios to 150-160 MHz VHF and 450-460 UHF. This was somewhat problematic for hams, and required them to download unlock software. However, in a recent firmware upgrade, TYT made it easier to unlock the radios without using the software.
