Turning off beeps and settings on 2 radios

Hello, I need to turn off all the beeps that sound all the time that the unit is sitting turned on but idle. I’m wondering if it is the SILENT OPERATION instructions in the Manual?

Also, when I make a setting for one unit, does it automatically set the other unit if they are on the same channel and everything?

If that is so then is it possible to have different settings on each unit for individual preferences?

I’m also confused about Standard Mode and Group Mode. There are only the two of us so I don’t know if we need the Group Mode, which we are set at now.

Sorry for all the questions; we are not technically inclined and still learning how to use the radios.
I appreciate any help offered,
Thanks,
Sandy

We cannot help, unless you tell us the brand and model number of your radios.

I’m sorry, I didn’t think about that.

They are the MIDLAND X-TRA TALK GXT1000/1050 SERIES

Thank you,
San

Hi i need to disable the beep from my navicom RT300 walkie talkie

Thanks

I have Obuby HK-288 two way radios for my kids and I’ve been trying to turn off the beeps it does every time you press any button. I’ve tried several different ways I’ve read online and I can’t figure it out and I can’t find the manual at home or online. Please help!!

@Sabrina_Primes - as with any radio legitimately sold/distributed in the USA and legit imported for sale, it will have an FCC ID - that’s your reference to look up an operation/user manual for anything radio-RF enabled. The ID may cover multiple branding if the manufacturer sells it under multiple brands.

In the case of yours, following the FCC ID takes you to an entry for the ID on the FCC site and offers the following link to the UM/UG -

https://fccid.io/2ASRN-HK-588/User-Manual/User-Manual-4249787.pdf

Given it’s a leisure kids market item, don’t be surprised if it lacks a silent mode or any fine alert sound adjustment - it’ll be in that guide if it has any.
