So, I’ve got a pair of the TSX300 and now the insides of the display windows of both units are covered with dust and bits of “navel lint”, my term for general “shmutz” that is neither lint nor dust.
I am looking for suggestions on how to mitigate this condition without opening the case and possibly voiding any warranty coverage, even though I am confident they will outlast the warranty period.
Any thoughts? Ideas?
I really love the radios, so I don’t want to take a chance on bollixing something up.
I just got some of these yesterday and when I opened it up,first thing I saw on one is was a dark gray spec inside.I hate to see stuff like that even in older stuff.Thought of returning for an exchange but thought I’d try something first.
I banged it around lightly on my hand and it just jumped around.Then I tried something different,got some static guard and sprayed on a tissue,then wiped the face of it.I guess it took the static out of it because I don’t see it anymore.
Don’t know if it’ll work for you,but it’s a thought anyway.
