It’s good to have the Podcast back! The KG-945G looks like a great radio. The PF Quick key guide is a great idea as I can never remember what I programmed to which button. Also the tone scan function and the updated IP rating made me hit the order button. Are there plans for a KG-945H? You’re killing me Smalls.

I received my KG-945G last week. The only thing that disappointed me is the lack of the stiff volume knob that the 935G+ has. That makes the selector knob almost useless for me. I remember the stiff volume knob was a selling point for the 935G+. If I had known about that before I purchased the 945G I might have held off on this radio. The increased IP rating is the reason I made the purchase but I am not sure, given what I know now, that I would have ordered it. It is a great radio, but just barely an “upgrade” to the 935G+, in my opinion. But what do I know…

Sorry to sound so negative. It just surprised me that this wasn’t included since the volume knob issue had already been adressed so successfully. I just put a 10mm oring around the bottom lip of the volume knob and that took care of it. Not perfect, but it works.

Boack 1980’s the UHF band was using in construction It band today by FCC to use for business. It nice clear to use on job site.
