Does anyone know the status of the Part 90 certification? I keep hearing that the radio is certified Part 90, but nothing is listed on the FCC site, and no I.D.'s have been announced. The certification is a factoring on if I buy the radio. The system that I will be using this on mandates paper proof that it is FCC certified.
And will the radio have a menu locking by software and 2.5 KHZ to fully comply with FCC narrow band certification?
There is a cross band HT already on the market, the Puxing PX-UV973. At about $80. The screen isn’t as neat, though I like mine. The only trouble is, the radio does NOT have an IDer, which is required to identify your transmitter… unless the MSK ANI burst is a legal ID.
