I listened to the newest podcast this morning. I am not into digital modes, but one requirement for any new handheld I purchase these days is water resistance. The More the better, up to and including IP67. I don’t spend much time on the amateur side of things anymore but all of my GMRS HTs are at least IP66. The majority are Wouxun. I purchased a UV9G for my well-neighbor as a birthday gift and we have used them during several power outages and storms. I have been thinking of getting my granddaughter a UV9G and now that y’all are carrying them I definitely will. It seems to be a good radio for the price and if something happens to it, well, no big deal. Thanks again for the podcast. I look forward to it every month.

The two similar radios, the UV-32 analogue and digital DM-32 I really like. Solid and well made, and the bigger size is better for many people. The two sided design is really clever. I like them.
