I had a customer ask if there are any 2 way radios that are static resistant, I have never heard of such a thing. Is anyone familiar with this subject?
He may mean intrinsically safe. (The electrical and thermal energy of the radio is low enough that ignition of hazardous atmospheres cannot occur. Most two-way radios contain equipment that can create internal tiny sparks and such sparks can ignite flammable substances present in the air.)
