I have two BF-888s radios. We use these radios on car runs, and they work just fine. Plenty of distance and very reliable. Our club have two new members sign up, and we ordered two more radios for their use. The problem is that these two new radios have a constant squelch on all channels. We can transmit and receive when used for that purpose, but the squelch is always on when not transmitting or receiving. My other radios are just fine, and I have even used the software to give them all the same program. What do I need to do to get rid of the squelch or static besides buying new ones?
You mean the squelch is open, as in the hiss is there in between voices? It’s a setting in the programming software. Just change it. I assume you have it to program in the frequencies
