screen color?

I recently purchased two Midland GXT1000 radios. Both appear identical, both work fine for my purposes (I am the team leader for a CERT (Community Emergency Response Team). I can’t figure out why the digital display on one radio is white and the other is amber. ???

I’ve never seen this. I just tested a few GXT1000’s and all of them have an amber colored display when the back-light is active. You’re seeing a white light after activating the display light?
