I started my question in the intro but figure zhis would be the proper spot for my thread.
I just purchased the new VGC vr-n7600 and because it came to me from the US its 136-174 VHF band is locked down to the ham bandwidh.
I Cant find a Canadian import and i dont want to return this unit
. Has anyone figured out how to unlock this sucker ?
I need to be able to put resource road (logging channels) and commercial contractor channels in on the fly

Is that radio Industry Canada certified for use on those frequencies?

I have no idea. The radio is retailed in Canada ?
I only listen to keep myself safe so they wont have any trouble from me
