Has anyone had experience using the Retevis Ailunce HA1G? I’ve been looking into it, but have been getting mixed signals.
Thanks for any light you can shed on this.

I don’t have that radio, but since you haven’t received any replies I thought I would throw in my $.02. I too have read mixed reviews. I don’t see one issue that seems to be a problem across the board. The most prolific complaint is the screen is unreadable in direct sunlight. My favorite radio has the same issue but isn’t a big problem to me. The things the HA1G has that I look for these days is a good IP rating, USB-C charging, and a good sized battery. The NOAA capabilities is a plus as well. I would not spend $100 for the radio but the price I just saw on the Ailunce website would make it tempting if I were in the market. For the price I saw it would probably be worth trying.
I have tried many radio models and brands. I have settled on a specific brand and am willing to spend a little more to get what my experience has proven to be the quality and the specifics I am looking for.
If you end up trying this radio let us know what you think. Good luck.
ipokebadgers,
Thanks for your response.
I appreciate your perspective. Interestingly, the criteria you consider important in a radio search are similar to what I’ve been using (IP67, USB-C, battery capacity, repeater accommodation, etc.). But price can be a deal breaker.
I think I’ll try the HA1G. It seems to be pretty affordable, and a reasonable choice for a first GMRS for my wife and me.
Thanks again.
