Repeater Network in Wyoming and Montana

I’m now picking up repeater traffic in Casper Wyoming which has transmissions all the way into Montana. Calling in, presumably on simplex, I asked the person monitoring the repeater how this could be and he indicated that it was through an internet supported system.

How does this work?

Anyone familiar with this network and how I can get in contact with it to join it.

Hi, Please post a little more information. What bands, type of radio you’re using etc.
There are several ways to do this. GMRS repeaters can be linked via the Internet. 2M /70cm can be linked via Echolink on the Internet and connected to your phone.
