Radios for an installer team

I’m looking for a radio that will to fit the needs of a team of people who travel around the US to different venues. The radio’s would need to operate indoor and outdoor with a range of a mile or less. Because there will be a varying environment they’re used in, I’m assuming I should be looking at either the Motorola RDU2020 or the Kenwood TK3230. We’d probably be in the market for up to 15 of them. I’m wondering if anyone has any preference between these two or if there are other options I should be looking at.

The other question I have is about licensing. As I understand it the business itself gets a license and then employees can use the radios as necessary? And would it be an issue that the radios are being used all over the US? Does this change the license issue at all?

We may be looking to make a purchase as soon as the end of the week.

Thanks for any input in advance.

Motorola Talkabouts radios will work and are cheap and durable. i have gotten an average of 2 miles or more in really hilly areas. they will also allow you to expand with no effort at all.
