Radio programming questions

I’m looking for replacements for several radios at work that have been lost or stolen. I was reading about the Motorola CP185, UHF model and the listing said that the frequencies had to be divisible by 5.0 or 6.25 kHz. What frequency intervals would that allow for?

depends on the frequency your looking for. each radio has a different split. basically all that means is it cant be an odd ball freq. 155.5 is divisible by 5 so on and so forth.

The CP185 will accept and “wideband” or “narrowband” frequency authorized by the FCC, as long as it is in the range limitations of the radio.

On this particular model, the following frequencies can be programmed:
VHF version: 136-174 mHz
UHF version: 435-480 mHz
