Question from a beginner...

I’m starting setting my first repeater system up for two way radios…
But i have some simple questions…

i have connected my 25 watt vertex repeater with two antennas ofc with coax cable, but which of the two antenneas should have the highest frequency, rx or tx ? and which of the two antennas should be placed highest on the tower ?

You would follow the standard offset for whatever band you are operating on. I doubt placing antennas on the same tower would protect your receiver from overload. You need to run a single antenna with a duplexer.

Its a uhf repeater… and its working almost fine… there is a few meters distance between the antennas… is that wrong ?? The offset is 5mhz

If your transmitter isn’t desensing the receiver, then you should be okay. If your receive range is lower than expected, your transmitter is interfering with the ability to receive… desensitizing the receiver. A repeater receives and transmits at the same time, so it is important to keep the receiver isolated.
