I received my new motorola 5000 radios today along with some headsets and an in helmet mic(attaches to the top of my motorcycle helmet).In my initial testing I find when I use the PPT button and release after speaking the “click” from the PPT seems execively loud in my headset…Is there a fix or adjustment for this as the volume is set way low…Mike
Verify that the accessory pin is properly pressed into the radio, as I have heard of volume issues if the pin isn’t in completely. Otherwise, I don’t believe there is anything you’re going to be able to do about your issue.
Is it possibly the “roger beep” function of the radio that is loud? If so, you could turn off that function in the menu of the radio.
