Programming cable Motorola DP1400

Dear Forumites

I have a few DP1400 that need a frequency change. I also have MotoTRBO CPS 2.0 running on a Windows 11 machine. When plugging in the radio with a USB micro to USB-A cable, I can’t see any com port open in device manager. CPS 2.0 cannot connect and want me to make sure that I’m using a proper programming cable.

I’m quite sure that I used a bog standard USB micro to USB-A cable when I programmed them a few years ago with an older version of CPS. Can anyone confirm that I indeed need this special programming cable?

Update: I went through all the USB cables I have in the house and, voila, I found one that works. Looks exactly like all the others, so I don’t know why, but I’m sorted, thank you.
