Programming a KG-935H from computer using CHIRP

Has anyone been able to do this yet? The OEM software is a bit clunky for entering repeater info.

Possible to use CHIRP Wouxun UV-8H interface?

I believe they said on their podcast that the KG-935H is not CHIRP compatible yet.

I have used chirp to programm my KG-935H i used the Radio interface on chirp for the KG-935G And KG-935G Plus Radio Interface Information to Program my KG-935H it worked Flawlessly no issues

That is good to know. I have read about people using another brand of radio and choosing a model that is close because their model wasn’t compatible. Some worked with no problem and others bricked their radio. CHIRP would make programming easier. My laptop is so old I can’t get any version of CHIRP to work. All other CPS works though.

I’m confused. You said that programming the radio with Chirp using the 935G Plus setting and file worked flawlessly, yet in your other post you encountered problems. I’m guessing it didn’t work after all, which is not unexpected, considering that is not how it was intended to be programmed.

It isn’t, although it is being developed.
