I bought a btec mic/speaker for my baofeng hand helds. When trying to connect to the local repeater audio is great but when I press the mic button to talk it switches the radio to the repeater off set frequency. It does this on both radios. The mic works great on simplex. Any one have this problem?

Er, is this not exactly what it is supposed to do? BUT - it isn’t the external mic doing this is it? The same offset gets displayed by using the radio PTT too?

Every single one of my radios does that. (It’s normal for repeater operation…)
