Hello. I have a TYT MD-UV 390 plus 10wat radio but the display is black due to a problem with the firmware that I cannot locate on the web. Please could you help me get the correct firmware? Where could I download it from? Thank you so much Javier EA8J

I have the same problem, but that link has stopped working. Can you please reupload it?
I’m also having the same problem, but the link doesn’t work. Can you post again please?
I found this in a facebook group and this firmware works on a uv-390 plus 10w version! Here is the link.
… but I wonder how many other 390 versions it doesn’t work on? The UV390 and 380 have proven to be very finicky on firmware - plenty being turned into door stops! Firmware should have a big warning in red - DANGER - try this at your own risk!
Could you pls help me out by forwarding the *bin file for you TYT MD-UV390 plus. I used the bin-file from the TYT mini DVD disk and after flushing it also produced a black screen. (My original firmw version was: S219.043 ; CP 02.37)
Dear Sir/Ms, would you be so kind to repost the *.bin files that you have sent to EA&J last August. (my org firmw: S219.043 CP: 02.37). I also got a black screen after updating with a ‘in-the-box’ CD rom of TYT *.bin file. I fear that I lost the new! radio, because now it reads (when attached to the compu) that I have the wrong model attached. …
And is there a way to reset the radio based on the back-up’s of the software? Probably not…
This is the original firmware that I use. TYT 390 Plus with GPS
Hi AC5A,
Can you upload the file again ?
Tried many firmware but still no backlight.
I also have the same problem, i used that google drive link and I get a black screen when my 390+ boots up and its useless
Dear, Thanks for the effort but unfortuonately I just came back to this site today. And I found out that your link to the original firmware is not working anymore. Apparently it was made available within a time-restricted download window
I would appreciate if you could resend it once more.
However, maybe you could help me also if you think that this excercise is likely to get a happy ending at all. Or that the radio can be considered total loss?
I found out today that I can still read and write to the radio. So its settings can still be edited and read and written. But
But when I turn it on, the screen is black (no backlight). And.with a flashlight I can see on the screen of the radio, that it stops at the welcome TYT logo startup screen. So the radio appeares to be blocked completely from the outside.
The problem occurred when I flashed the brand-new radio with original TYT *.bin (dated 2022) file provided by the manufacturer (on a included DVD disk!).
the firmware that I most recently uploaded, is: MD-UV390(CSV-GPS)-P18.11.bin
This is a file for the TYT MDUV390 Plus /10Watt/GPS /120,000 contacts. There was also a version available which supported recording features and could contain only 10,000 contacts.
Thx for the moral support
Thx David, Unfortuonately I need another hardware version: namely with GPS and 120,000 contacts (in stead of Rec+10,000 contacts).
Thank you David and Paul for guiding me to the right firmware. Eventualluy I tried your post David (*.bin file of last year!!) and it worked! Eureka! My radio is operable again.
Now I’ll have to try to program it, see if I can get all the funtions to work (DMR etc, or configure it as a marine radio.
As an aspirant HAM-radio amateur I decided to get my broadcasting license here in the Netherlands. I’ll let you guys know when I can show proof of the pudding. So far so good, have a good one to ye’all.
P.S. We just watched the inauguration of President Donald Trump! We keep are fingers crossed. As an old army saying goes: Hope for the best, Prepare for the worst. Although I have my thoughts of where he will be leading us all, I was happy sense a vision, a plan and an agenda again. Something which we haven’t seen for a long time. So from the old Continent I salute you and I’ll keep in touch.
