Has anyone every heard of or know anything about the Icom IC-100E two way radio that also acts as a repeater??? I have searched the net and can find nothing about this radio, its like it never existed but yet i have 2.
I think this was one of the late 70’s almost custom Icom products that Icom (who were in Thanet then) had on the market. It isn’t in the blurb I have from them from that time - Icom had a few weird and wonderful modular products back then that were for special projects. If you have two - then as curiosities they’re worth hanging onto. The only real portable repeaters back then were for the Police and the special services - who were in the main using very basic Pye gear - so these Icons were pretty state of the art.
