Looking for recommendations on which new portable to get, and how to load OpenGD77 please. Thank you!
Just a warning that there was a running change on the UV-MD390+ (but kept same model number) and seems the most recent examples don’t work with OpenGD77. I would check that project’s website for the latest info on what radios are and are not supported.
I do still greatly prefer OpenGD77 to the stock software, its far more useful friendly, has satellite tracking, you can send analog APRS beacons, and DMR is easier to use. Just one channel per each of my local repeaters, and I can provide a list of talkgroups to listen to or just enter TG number. Easy.
