I have a Kenwood repeater turning off during transmission and turns on when immediately turns on what might be the problem
Double check the power supply voltage - Kenwoods draw a fair bit of power and if the terminal voltage drops even a little bit it triggers a restart.

I have experienced this with a Kenwood mobile radio. The radio would shut off when TX and then restart afterward. Turned out to be the power lead to the radio.
