I have several XU2100 radios at my work place. Some of them receive only but do not transmit. Of the radios that are not transmitting, i noticed they all have one thing in common … when you transmit, the LCD screen displays everything. On the radios that are working properly, i noticed when you transmit it only dipslays the channel number and the battery indicator.

I’m assuming the non-transmitting and the displaying everything are related.

What am i doing wrong? Can anyone help?

Try new batteries in the units that are not transmitting. I have had a lot of XTN series radios display all characters on the LCD when holding the PTT, then shut down. This would cause them not to transmit porperly… turned out to be bad batteries.
