Anyone know why Motorola only allowed 8 scan channels on a 99 chan. radio? Also can it be modded to add more scan slots?
Your talking about older technology(MT1000) models and that is what
the technology of that day offered. Those older model radios had a
limited amount of memory and 99 memory channels was about the
best available and 8 scan channels was also doing pretty good for
that time period. I have not heard of any mods for extra scan channels
but a google search should be able to answer that question.
