Motorola CP200 & VX-231 Compatibility

Hi,

I am planning on buying VX-231 for my company & we are already using Motorola CP200. Would I be able to program Motorola CP200 with VX-231 if they are in the same Frequency band.

Also, how would I tackle it if the CP200s have CTCSS/PL & DPL encoders on the channels? Can I program the same ones on VX-231 as well?

Thanks!

No problem. Your Vertex dealer can duplicate the frequencies and PL/DPL tones from your Motorola CP200’s.

Hi,

I usually take care of them myself in the company. So, I was wondering if there is a chart or something that will let me determine the equivalents PL & DPL codes for vertex & motorolla.

Thanks!

If you have the programming software for the VX-231 and the programming specs for the CP200s the CTCSS / PL tones are the same back and forth. I actually do use a UHF VX-231 with UHF CP200s several times a week and know for example that both the radios use a tone of 233.6 on each.

ex: Motorola
TX: 466.xxx RX: 466.xxx PL: 233.6

Vertex Standard
TX: 466.xxx RX: 466.xxx PL: 233.6
