I just purchased the 9500 and they sound terrible. Can’t understand the other person speaking. Tried several differant people both man and women. I will be returning these for sure.
Maybe they are talking to close to the mic?
Just working out a pair of 9500’s Clarity seems to be best up to 3/4 volume. 1/2 volume is loud enough. Full volume is still understandable, but I can understand why someone would think it poor with a person not speaking clearly. No faults so far. It is also my experience with any radio that voices garble if they are too close to the mic.
For best clarity, you may also want to be sure the “QT Noise Filtering” option is enabled. In our tests this reduces background noise and improves clarity.
