I recently purchased a headset online and was shipped a different model than I had selected. I was trying to get a single pin headset but instead was shipped the same headset but with a 8-007 adapter rather than the single pin.

that is the adapter which was shipped to me. What I was wondering is, is it possible to snip and re-wire this to a single pin configuration?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
