Maybe a dumb question

I am looking to buy some two way radios for a trip. The other people in the party use them and I want to get a couple to make the communication easier. They said they use the “green dot frequency”. My question is, do all two radios use this? or do I need a special radio for green dot frequency? What would be some radios that I could get to use? Thanks, Hank

The green dot frequency is 154.600 Mhz…any MURS capable radio should work appropriately.

Thanks, is a place online that sells used or cheap ones? I wont be using it to often, so I cannot justify spending $130 per radio.

I see used Kenwood TK-2100’s on ebay…might be worth checking out…good luck!
