Maxon SM-4150M question

I’m new to the forums, and I have to say, there is ALOT of good info on here. Anyways, I recently inherited a Maxon SM-4150M from my fire department. I want to put this radio in my vehicle, but I’m not sure how it will work when everything goes to narrow band. Does anyone know if this is going to work, or will I be wasting my time installing it? Thanks everyone.

I don’t think this radio is narrow band compliant. So if there is no extention beyond January 1st 2013 the only place you can use it legally is on the amateur bands.
