Leixen VV898 VHF/UHF radio

I am considering buying the Leixen VV898 radio.
Does anyone know the following ? :

  1. Does it have a speaker jack for an external speaker to plug into ?
  2. Can I program it manually ?
  3. If I program it by computer, is the software that comes with it compatible
    with Windows 8.1 or Windows 10?

I do like the size of the radio because it has the features that I desire. It looks like it would fit fine in my 2012 Toyota Rav 4.

To answer your questions:

  1. Yes
  2. Yes
  3. The programming software works with Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, and 8.1. It has not been tested with Windows 10.

The current version of the software and driver both available from the Leixen site works on Win10; just used it to set up a new VV-898ST.

There are also two versions of the 25 watt Leixen radio, the VV-898E and the VV-898S.
Anyone know what the difference is between the two?
