Jumper for SWR Meter

I just found an old SWR meter and have moved my ant on my Ranger P/U.
Now I need to recheck the SWR’s:rolleyes: and only have a 2 Ft. jumper.
I am under the impression:confused: that the jumper needs to be 3 Ft.
Is that correct?
I found some conflicting info. on the :eek:internet.

i am too getting the same and it has jugged me … now looking for help here to get a clue and do a good

“juggled U”

No. The jumper only needs to be as long as you need it to be. There are a lot of coaxial cable length myths on CB forums. All wrong.

No. The length is irrelevant.

What is important is its characteristic impedance. It should be the figure given by the equipment’s manufacturer - either 50 or 75 ohms.
