HT1250 replacement

I’m looking for new radios to replace my older HT1250s. I need something similar in features and performance that will interoperate with the HT1250s.

I’m looking at the RDU4160. Is that the best choice?

Hi Dave, The HT1250 was available in several versions and was rated to be intrinsically safe. Are you using the VHF or UHF version of this radio? Do the new radios need to be intrinsically safe? Are you inside or outside the US?

I’m using the UHF version and am based in the US. The replacement does not need to be intrinsically safe.

The RDU4160d could work, depending on what features you need. It’s a good, solid radio, but it may or may not be the best choice for your specific situation.

The HT1250 series includes several versions. A lot depends on what version of the HT1250 you have and what features of that radio you want in the new one. If you can contact us with some details as to what you need we can help you find the best match.
