Help with Quad Band Radio Choice?

Im looking at a car mounted 50W quad band transceiver that provides 0.7, 2, 6 and 10m operation.
I see them from $200 to $900.
I think I need:
FM
Remotable control panel.
Good remote programming like with Chirp.
Scanning of memories
Band scan of frequencies.

I looked at:
Wouxun KG-UV950P but it apparently is has abismal manual and programming and not shown as support by Chirp.
Yaesu Ft8900 is 10years old and has tiny knobs on the front and I read very finiky to adjust.
Yaesu Ft897 look great but is a whooping $1000.

Do you have any thoughts on a quad band in the 200-400 range?

Thanks!

The TYT TH-9800 may be an option. It has a lot of the same features and functionality as the Wouxun KG-UV950P but is not quite as bulky. I also prefer the volume control over the Wouxun. Apparently it is also supported by CHIRP, although I have never personally tried it with this model. It is listed as one of the supported models on the CHIRP project website.

It’s a solid performer. I know a couple of operators who prefer it and the TH-7800 dual band model over the Wouxun radios.

As far as manual programming, it really isn’t that complicated once you get used to it. This article provides an list ofTYT TH-9800 features and programming menu options.

Very helpful! Thanks so much for the insight!

Here’s your answer for programming the Wouxun:
