Hello everyone. In my career, I’ve been a radio user for many years, but I decided that I’d like to learn a bit more about radio communications. My aim is practical usage and general knowledge.

What kind of radios are you interested in? Free for anyone to use types, business radios, or taking a test and starting out with Ham radio? So many things to be interested in. I guess much depends on where you are and what you want to do with radios.
If you want to know how they work, and the physics of communications, then the various amateur licenses most countries have give you lots of scope. Not sure about the US, but here in the UK, the most basic licence isn’t particularly that hard in the studying department, and the higher license categories are doable, with hard work. Many people like using radios, and aren’t that interested in how they work, while others are?
