General inquire

Hi everyone. I’m new to this topic. I’ve never had some proffesional radios nor anthing like it; however, every now and then I use a pair of Motorola Talkabouts to speak with my family while on vacations (parks, ski mountains, malls, you name it). I’m interested now in getting a better equipment, one that has pretty good range and one that is the least common so that I don’t get to hear everybody talk. I don’t even know if what I’m saying makes sense or not, but can anybody help me out please? Which ones are kind of the best radios now? What’s the main difference with GMRS? Thanks

GMRS requires a license. Unfortunately, there are many unlicensed pirates.

If you want no interference, try the new TriSquare eXRS radios. They work great and guarantee no annoying interference. Plus they are license free.
