I’m looking for long distance two-way radio in a Woods situation, my hunting partner has no cell service so its hard to communicate… any direction on a good two way radio would be much appreciated
Probably the best solution is to give the forum hosts a phone call - they can advise on the usual things like power, range, licence type and are really helpful. I’m in the UK, and have had no hunting here for years, so something unknown to me, in terms of the way it’s done, and what the radios get used for? I suspect laying on the ground and whispering maybe?

The caveat is that “long distance” hunting is kind of a wild card when it comes to radio communications, so it is best to consult with our team first to determine which radios may work best for your particular environment.
Get a couple or Baofengs maybe something like the UV5rh which should give you a few miles. If you have repeater you can do much more.
