An all new episode of The Two Way Radio Show Podcast features a discussion that is sure to bring up a lot of debate. We discuss seven things that we think the FCC should change with the licensing and operation of two way radios and why we think these changes should be made.
I just finished listening to your latest podcast concerning dreams of FCC changes. I like the idea of radios being able to be used on multiple services. We all know it is being done now and has been done for as long as there have been different services.
The age limit has always made no sense to me. If a youngster can get a Amateur license why not a GMRS license.
Having some way for businesses to apply for a GMRS license for individuals seems reasonable as well. There are already people who have made a business of renewing your Amateur license for you.
I didn’t hear any changes that you guys proposed that would be a real problem. Having said that, even though the present government seems to be trying to bring some common sense to the DC, I don’t see the Amateur, MURS, GMRS services being very high on their list of things that the FCC will to look into.
