I am a long term resident of Livermore since 1956 and retired from a forty year career at Lawrence livermore National Laboratory.
I am new to GMRS currently operating a KG-UV9GX HT and a KG-1000G Mobile.
I appreciate the NCGUG repeater systems coverage and traveling the greater Bay Area with radio communications as well as Extended Off-Grid Overland travels in the Sierras.
I plan to travel the Pacific Crest Overland Rout from Northern CA through OR and WA for a brief visit to Vancouver and return home using the same route.
