I’ve been a General class ham for many years and also hold a GMRS license since 2013. My radio hobby started back in 1970 and progressed from there. Lately, I spend a lot of time on GMRS and have five repeaters I can hit with ease.
I’ve been “Elmering” some of the newbies and answering questions.
My station is an Anytone uv-5888 dual band plus GMRS. It does 50 watts on Vhf and 40 watts on Uhf. Antenna is a five element beam and a Comet PG-1 vertical fed with LMR-400 feedline. I live close to the St. Louis area. If you’re in the area, give me a call. WSEB-564
