Privacy Code confusion, programming KG 1000G

I was checking the privacy codes I have programmed into by KG-1000 for some repeaters. I know that they use DCS codes.

In doing that, I accidentally hit the area where CTCSS codes are programmed in, and they showed up. That surprised me. What should appear there, if I know that these repeaters use DCS?

I believe when you get into the TX or RX CTCSS menu there is an option for “OFF”.
