For most of my working life, something with “Motorola”, “GE”, or “Regency/Uniden” with a microphone attached would be sitting on the workbench, or be the subject of a mobile service visit. I’ve held a Second Class Radiotelephone Operator’s License/GROL since '77, and been ‘grumpy’ since encountering my first 800 Mhz install during the mid-'90s.
