I have a Caltta PH690 I try to configure same channel as on a Zodiac Freetalk Pro.
Frequency is fine, but I cannot get the DTCSS correct.
On the Zodiac, on CTS-button, it says «dc:83».
On my Caltta, I need to choose CTCSS, CDCSS or CDCSS Inverted. Then eighter the CTCSS frequency, or CDCSS code.
Checked and tried all I can find, but no lock. Any hints, or tips?
I tried to find the software but couldn’t. The manual is also quite unhelpful. I assume you are trying to change the analgue dcs settings in software? Does the zodiac have a setting to turn off ctcss and DTS? It’s possible the two systems are not quite the same. CTCSS tones are usually much more widely compatible. Have you tried setting both radios to use CTCSS tones to make sure the issue is the tone system or not?
