Re: Baofeng BF888s & QYT KT8900

Re: Baofeng BF888s & QYT KT8900

Re: Baofeng BF888s & QYT KT8900

It depends on what you are using them for. If you have a business, you'll need a license in the Business Radio services. To get this license, you'll need to go through an authorized frequency...

Re: Baofeng GT-5TP Uses?

Well, short and sweet.

You CANNOT use these radios without at least an amateur radio license. Period.

These radios do not have the necessary FCC certification for use on FRS and MURS, which...

Re: UV-5R Frequencies that don't need a license.

There are no frequencies you would be allowed to transmit on without a license. Those itinerant frequencies you mention require a business band license.

Re: Baofeng tri band radio scan certain frequency

*Which* tri band radio? There are three models currently being sold.

Only the BTECH UV-5X3, sold only by BTECH, allows you to select a scan limit. In VFO mode, push the "SCAN" button. The...

Re: Motorola CT250

Well, as far as channel 19 is concerned, not gonna happen. This radio operates at frequencies far away from the CB channels. It just isn't physically possible. This radio operates on the VHF or...

Re: Do you know any good articles on how to choose frequencies?

I looked things up briefly. All I can say is there is a regulating body, and there is a radio spectrum breakdown. Here is the website: http://www.mtc.gob.pe/index.html You may wish to contact...

Re: Galaxy 33HML with no voice...

This is not a CB radio. This is a 10 meter radio that requires an amateur radio license to operate. Since you are using it as a CB, this violates forum rules regarding illegal content. Thread...

Re: New GMRS/FRS Rules and a question about power

Yes, I'll retract my earlier statement. As long as you are operating under 2 watts, you are operating under FRS rules.

Re: Copy settings from Anyone 289g to Baofeng UV-5R

Probably so, unfortunately. Unless a Google search turns up something free under the original anytone model number, you may be out of luck.

It's always best to research programming software prior...

Re: Copy settings from Anyone 289g to Baofeng UV-5R

The 289G radios are not supported by Chirp. So you are out of luck there. I imagine the OP downloaded his radio's info via the factory software, and his question was how to convert this info into...

It's all about what you want and need in a radio. It all depends on the individual. So, it is really hard to say which is "better" per se. You just need to do your research and look over the...
